No more mini skirts in #UGANDA; M7 Signs Anti-pornography Bill Into Law

Wearing a mini skirt will now be a crime in Uganda. This is after President Yoweri Museveni signed the Anti-Pornography Bill into law, exactly two months to the day it was passed by Parliament on December 19.

The Anti-Pornography Bill outlaws anything that shows sexual parts of a person such as breasts, thighs, buttocks or any erotic behaviour intended to cause sexual excitement or any indecent act or behaviour tending to corrupt morals, among other things.

The Bill defines pornography as any cultural practice, form of behaviour or form of communication or speech or information or literature or publication in whole or in part or news story or entertainment or stage play or broadcast or music or dance or art or graphic or picture or photography or video recording or leisure activity or show or exhibition.

The Anti-Pornography Bill creates the offence of pornography which is blamed for sexual crimes against women and children including rape, child molestation and incest.
